Flashback Fright Fest

Fountain Place Cinema 8 in Logan is holding a Flashback Fright Fest throughout October.  Every Sunday at 4pm and Monday at 4pm and 7pm come see a different horror related movie.

October 5th and 6th will be The Mothman Prophecies.  The Mothman Prophecies is a 2002 psychological thriller based in Point Pleasant. The movie is based on the 1975 book of the same name, written by John Keel. The film stars actor Richard Gere, a reporter that investigated sights of “Mothman,” a legendary moth-like creature reportedly seen in Point Pleasant in the late sixties.  Author and Bram Stoker Award Winner Editor Michael Knost will be signing copies of his book Return of the Mothman before and after each showing.

October 12th and 13th will be The Shining.  1980 psychological horror film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick, starring Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, and Scatman Crothers.  The film is based on Stephen King’s 1977 novel of the same name.

October 19th and 20th will be Beetlejuice.  1988 comedy horror film directed by Tim Burton, starring Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Michael Keaton (as Beetlejuice), Jeffrey Jones, and Winona Ryder.

October 26th and 27th will be Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.  The 1987 slasher film and third Nightmare on Elm Street movie.  Written by Wes Craven starring Robert Englund and Patricia Arquette in her first role.

Tickets are only $5 for each showing.  They have unlimited popcorn and soda at the concession stand.

The theater has stadium seating in all screens.  Fully handicap accessible seating, hight back loveseat chair with cup holders, state of the art Dolby Digital Sound, and DLP Digital screens. 

Good chance to see some great horror movies on the big screen and meet a great author.
