Shockacon 2015

Shockacon returns Friday September 18th at 4pm through Sunday September 20th at 5pm at the Beni Kedem Shrine Center in Charleston.

Rose Siggins and Drew Rin Varick from American Horror Story: Freak Show; Bai Ling from The Crow; Jeryl Prescott and Adam Minarovich of Walking Dead; Ari Lehman from Friday the 13th; John “Trapper” Tice from Mountain Monsters.  Artist Chris Woodall, JR Earls, Ryan Byrd, and Atrophy Comics; writer Daniel Boyd and Edward Holsclaw; bands the Cryptoids, Argyle Goolsby, The Big Bad, Hurl Brickbat, and the Renfields; performers Riveting Roses, Professor Sinister Savage Sideshow, comedian Sam Canterbury, belly dancer Bint il Nahar, Downhome Decadence; cosplayers Dalek Gan, WV Ghostbusters, Santana, Bunny Bombshell; filmmakers Ronn Smith (Doctor Who fan film), Dakota Skye, Scott Gregg (Razor Sharp), RAK films; Cemetery Knights, zombie response vehicle, tarot reader Rachael Fortune, Dracula audio drama, guest speakers Tiffany Steele, David Cruikshank, Adam Edwards, Frank Curci, and Kennie Bass.

There will be a costume parade through the Town Center mall on Saturday at noon, a drink and paint, Q&As with various guests, cosplay panels, music performances, horror trivia contest, horror writers workshop, scream contest, zombie survival panel, costume contest on Saturday, performances from Rocky Horror and Repo! the Genetic Opera, craft workshops, and more.  Sunday is Kids Day with reduced prices, junior Ghostbuster training, kids mask workshop, kids costume contest and other fun activities.  Aftershock party at the Blue Parrot on Capitol Street on Friday and Saturday.

Pre-reg before 9/15 is $45 for weekend, $20 for Friday or Saturday, $15 for Sunday, and $5 cheaper for children under 15.  At door prices are $50 for weekend, $25 for Friday or Saturday, $20 for Sunday, and $5 cheaper for children under 15.  You can get VIP pass for $125 that comes with a t-shirt, preferred seating at events, on autograph ticket, gift bag, and line skip ability.

All fans of horror, makeup, and off kilter entertainment should give the show a look over.
