The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston is holding its Opening Day this Saturday April 1st. Be one of the first to check out the restoration and preservation work that was completed over this past winder while the ghosts were on vacation.
The doors open at 9:30am on Saturday and 11:30am on Sunday. They will then stay open till 6pm. Tours will leave hourly from 10am to 5pm.
The first 150 ticket holders will receive a 2017 Souvenir Wine Glass.
Normal tour hours run Tuesday through Friday & Sunday Noon to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 6pm. The asylum is closed on Mondays. The main doors open 30 minutes before the first tour. Tours generally leave on the hour, show up before your time.
There are four daily tours to choose from, all but one are a historical focused. First Floor Tours are 45 minutes is $10. Four Floor Tour is 90 minutes for $30. Criminally Insane Tour is an hour and $15. A Daytime Paranormal Tour is 90 minutes and $35.
Weekend Tours include Farm and Cemetery Tour, VIP Tour, Photo Tour, Nighttime Paranormal tour, and Overnight Ghost Hunt.
Fans of historical buildings and ghost stories should try to get up this weekend or some other time before it closes for the season on November 5th.
