The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston is hosting the Almost Heaven BBQ Bash and will be opening of last year’s special haunted houses, Malice, from Friday June 16th to Saturday June 17th.
The mini tour will on the 1st floor and basement of the asylum. It will open up on Friday night from 6pm to10pm and Saturday from noon to 4pm and then 6pm to 9pm.
During the weekend, there will be a BBQ competition, some Zombie paintball, Flashlight Tours various vendors, paranormal tours, standard asylum tours, live entertainment and DJ, and plenty of BBQ Bash related activities.
Flashlight Tours go through the historic Kirkbridge building and the medical center, they are around 30 minutes long. The Zombie Paintball is also every thirty minutes and you travel to a farm to rescue humans from a zombie horde. You get 100 paintballs to use, but can buy more for $5.
Tickets for the Malice tour, Flashlight Tours, and Zombie Paintball is $10 per person. They are only sold at the ticket booth on site. No kids under 13 with an adult. No drinking.
This looks like a great chance for fans of horror, of being sacred, and the like to do something in the summer.

The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston is holding its Opening Day this Saturday April 1st. Be one of the first to check out the restoration and preservation work that was completed over this past winder while the ghosts were on vacation.
The doors open at 9:30am on Saturday and 11:30am on Sunday. They will then stay open till 6pm. Tours will leave hourly from 10am to 5pm.
The first 150 ticket holders will receive a 2017 Souvenir Wine Glass.
Normal tour hours run Tuesday through Friday & Sunday Noon to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 6pm. The asylum is closed on Mondays. The main doors open 30 minutes before the first tour. Tours generally leave on the hour, show up before your time.
There are four daily tours to choose from, all but one are a historical focused. First Floor Tours are 45 minutes is $10. Four Floor Tour is 90 minutes for $30. Criminally Insane Tour is an hour and $15. A Daytime Paranormal Tour is 90 minutes and $35.
Weekend Tours include Farm and Cemetery Tour, VIP Tour, Photo Tour, Nighttime Paranormal tour, and Overnight Ghost Hunt.
Fans of historical buildings and ghost stories should try to get up this weekend or some other time before it closes for the season on November 5th.
