A quick round up of some new on events and projects going on in the state.
The Spring Sport’s Card & Collectible Show will be at the Huntington Mall April 16-18, during mall hours, Barboursville. There will be dealers with new and old sport cards, gaming cards, memorabilia, toys, comic books, supplies, posters, records, and more from dealers around the tristate area. It is a free to go.
1d4Con is finally having their 2020 on May 15th this year digitally. Unfortunately their planned in person 2021 event has been canceled due to their hotel going through renovations and won’t be open in time. They are taking game submissions now and already have some up.
Huntington Comic & Toy Con is resecuring and adding guests for their first year. Check out the list of Star Wars, Power Rangers, voice actors, TV/movie actors, wrestlers, and more on their site.
The Beckley Gaming Expo will be happening this year on July 31st in Beckley. Tickets go on sale May 1st.
West Virginia Penitentiary Para-Con is September 11th with tickets for the con and tours; plus a load of special guests and presenters.
The Outer Rim Praxeum Lightsaber School is having a Blade Match Tournament on Facebook Live. Check out the members fight to prove who is the best.
WV Native comic writer/artist Jason Pell has launched a Kickstarter for his project Pinpricks: The Graphic Novel. The follow up to his Pinpricks book, about single page horror story/drawings. This will be in color and feature creepy stories in graphic novel form. Already reached its goal, but he has stretch goal plans to unveil.
